1.        Ballet

Ballet is the art of dance requiring strength, resilience, elegance and grace all at once. It develops strong lean and flexible bodies, special and temporal awareness, and improve coordination. Ballet may be difficult to master and takes lots of patience and practice to learn, however, it do is worth of doing. And Ballet technique is considered to be the basis of training for all types of dance.

 

2.     Latin

Latin American style of dance is gaining popularity across the globe at an incredible rate. Latin dances are known for the hip action and a sexy flair. Learning these dances is fairly easy with the right combination of practice exercises. Most all of the Latin Dances are made up of the same basic footsteps. All you have to do is learn those basic patterns and then you can rearrange them to create different dance. Latin-American dances can be danced socially or competitively, up to the World Championship level.

International Latin consists of the following five dances: rumba, samba, paso doble, cha-cha-cha and jive.

 

3.      Neo-Jazz 

Today, jazz dance is presented in many different forms and venues. It continues to be an essential element of musical theatre choreography, where Neo-Jazz may be interwoven with other dance styles as appropriate for a particular show. Neo-Jazz dancing can be seen in music videos, in competitive dance, and on American television show, So You Think You Can Dance.

 

4.     Flamenco

Flamenco is a Spanish musical genre with origins in Andalusiawhich is known for its intricate rapid passages, and a dance characterized by audible footwork. Flamenco is the music of the gypsies and played in their social community. Andalusian people who grew up around gypsies, and the life, were also accepted as "flamencos".  The dance reflects the passion, romance and fervor of people and is beautifully crafted with grace and dignity. It basically tries to convey the meaning of words through dance by mixing percussive footwork with intricate hand, arm and body movement, a very strong sense of rhythm.

 

5.     Classical Spanish Dance

Classical Spanish Dance encompasses sophisticated choreography of Classical Music by great Spanish composers such as Manuel de Falla, Albéniz, Granados, and Turina. Dancers wear either Spanish dance shoes or Ballet shoes, often while playing the castanets.  The dance blends Flamenco, Folklore, and Classical Ballet.

 

6.      Belly Dance

Belly dance is a Western term for a traditional Arab dance genre known as Raqs Sharqi "Oriental Dance". It is also sometimes called "Middle Eastern Dance" or the "Arabic Dance" . Belly dance is a misnomer as all parts of the body are involved in the dance, and the most important body part is the hips. The most admired Belly dancers are those who can best project their emotions through dance, even if their dance is made up of simple movements. The dancer’s goal is to visually communicate to the audience the emotion and rhythm of the music.

 

7.     Modern Dance

Born in the early 20th century, modern dance is a dance style that centers on a dancer's own interpretations instead structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing. Turning against the structured techniques, costumes and shoes of ballet, dancers favored a more relaxed, free style of dancing. Modern dance pioneers often danced in bare feet and revealing costumes. In the United States, several dance pioneers paved the way for American modern dance, including the legendary Martha Graham.

 

8.     Broadway Jazz 

Jazz dance originated from the African American vernacular dance and after the 1950s, pioneers made it into a performing art. With the growing domination of other forms of entertainment music, jazz dance evolved on Broadway into the new, smooth style that is taught today and known as Broadway jazz. The performance style of jazz dance was popularized in the Broadway shows such as Chicago, Cabaret, and The Pajama Game, and it continues to be an essential element of musical theatre, music videos and competitive dance. It is easy to learn! By learning Broad jazz can not only allows you to enjoy the dance rhythm, but also can help to keep fit and enhance physical coordination.

 

9.     Pilates 

German-born Joseph Pilates designed a system of exercise based on aerobics and yoga postures of Surya Namaskaras.The method is called Contrology (from control and Greek -λογία, -logia), because it uses the mind to control the muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. Nowadays, Pilates is also widely used in fat reducing and physical rehabilitation therapy in the most scientific projects.

 

 

10.  Broadway Jazz

11. Salsa

 

Salsa is normally a partner dance and can be showed in the party. Since salsa is not particularly difficult, dancers of all levels could gain proficiency with a matter of month.
