VIKO - DANCE STUDIO DIRECTOR

Viko is the new director of Artist Shanghai Dance Studio. She is graduated from Shanghai Dancing School and Shanghai Theater Academy, major in Ballet & Art of Performance. With ten years professional background in dance, she has ever won the second prize of Chinese National Dance Competition, however, in 2004 she went to Switzerland to obtain her Bachelor Degree in International Hospitality Management.

TEACHERS

BALLET —— Sean WENG

Sean is the founder of Dance Studio Artist Shanghai. Upon graduation from Shanghai Theater Academy, Sean was chosen by French choreographer Maurice Bejart to  study with full scholarship at the Ecole - Atelier Rudra-Bejart in Switzerland. Afterwards he becomes the first and the only Chinese in the well-known company "Bejart Ballet Lausanne" for more than five years.

Modern Dance —— Ginny LO

Ginny was born in Hong Kong and moved to Chicago in 1985. Then she continued to study with Madam Boitsov and joined the Boitsov Company, later she danced as a member of Illinois Ballet Theater and danced as guest artist with the New York modern dance company. She was dominated for "Dance Makers Lab Artist" and "Chicago Dance Achievement Awards" in 2003 and 2004, and founded the multi-media modern dance company, “Identically Dissimilar” in 2004. She has taught over 15 years in dance studios, high schools and colleges, and was the artistic director of Lombard Dance Center for 8 years, the faculty of Karitos Conference & guest artist. Currently teaching in Tongji University Dance Education.

Pilates　—— York

An experienced Pilates trainer, York has begun her professional Pilates training since 2002 in The Hague, Netherlands under tutelage of Marjorie Oron and followed seminars conducted by master instructors, Romana Kryzanowaska and Sari Mejia Santo. She was graduated from Fontys Academy of Performing Arts Musical Theatre, and She is also a good mezzo-soprano singer，strong dancer including tap, hip hop, modern, jazz, musical. She moved to China 5 years ago and continues her pilates coaching in Shanghai now.

Neo jazz —— Susan SUN

Susan was graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2004, and currently is the Chief actor in JINXING Dance Company. In 2005 she went to Norway with scholarship participating NORWAY STAVANGER INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ACADEMY DANCE MASTER CLASSE, performed modern dance "SUI", and composed personal work "one person" in 2006. In 2009 in cooperation with the Austrian director, her dance "THE CHINA PROJECT" premiere at the Salzburg Arts Festival, Austria Arts Festival and Dusseldorf Arts Festival.

Broadway jazz —— Xiao Hei

Jia Yi was graduated from Beijing modern music college in 2004. With 8 years experiences in dance performance, he has participated in many large-scale shows and tours, such as Zhuhai Beach Music Festival, and the 30th anniversary of reform and opening up.

He, as a choreographer, joined the planning for Travel Channel Spring Festival Party and a number of the company's annual party.

Street Jazz & Reggea  —— Susu JIN

Susu, 7 years experiences in street dance performance and coaching, is good at a lot of street dance styles, including HIP-HOP, STREET JAZZ, REGGEA, and POPIN (a very powerful dance style). She was one of the HIP-HOP brand ambassadors for American Sports Brand “AVIA”. She participated in many performances for big events or tours, and served as Street Dance Competition’s jury for 7schools in Shanghai’s Songjiang University Center in 2007. Now, she is eager to introduce her street dance style to every dance lover here.

Flamenco  —— Stephanie WANG

Stephanie is good at Latin, flamenco, tap dance and all kinds of jazz. She is the champion of 1st Shanghai Tan Dance Competition, and won the second silver prize in the International Ballroom (Latin) Dance Competition in China. She has also participated in many video shootings and performances as a choreographer and dancer, including the Shanghai World Expo API [breathing].

Classic spanish  —— Angela YU

Angela, upon graduation from Shanghai Dance School, she joined Shanghai Ballet and was promoted as a chief actress in 2005. In 2007, she became one of Chinese actresses with highest level rewarded by Chinese Government. Angela was the Champion of the Shanghai International Ballet Competition and won the third prize in Chinese National Dance Competition. She has participated many famous performances, including "Swan Lake", "Fairy," "Giselle," "Romeo and Juliet" and so on.

Belly dance —— Jenny

Jenny, 23years old, she is very experienced in belly dance performance and has ever joined the Russian Master Nour's Belly Dance programme in August 2009. As a professional belly dance teacher, she is qualified and rich of experiences in delivering you the dance  technique and emotion.

Latin - Daniel Wang

Daniel, the Latin coach, is currently a professional dancer in Shanghai Ballet. With more than 10 years Latin dancing experience, he is a senior Latin dancing coach. He won the first prize of Shanghai International Standard Ballroom Dancing in 1998, group B first prize of International Standard Ballroom Dancing Initiation Contest in 2000, the first prize of 2000 New Millennium Latin Dance & Ballroom Dance Contest. Meanwhile, with years of Latin teaching experience, Daniel is always welcomed by his professional dancing skills and refreshing way of teaching.
